Stafford Lawrence is engaged to recruit for a Job Vacancy for a BIM Modeller for a European Engineering Consultancy for a position in Muscat Oman in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be based in their offices in Muscat Oman. The position requires experience in BIM Modelling for Buildings Projects.

Requirements for BIM Modeller Engineering Consultancy job in Oman

  • You will be experienced in modelling, creating and managing 3D digital models of buildings and structures using BIM Software.
  • The ability to utilise your experience to produce detailed information about the project design, construction process and building usage throughout the lifecycle of the building
  • A 3-year BSc Degree Qualification in a Construction or Engineering subject and preference for a Masters Degree Qualification
  • Circa 7-10 years post-degree experience as a BIM Modeller for Buildings Projects- Architectural and/or structural. PLEASE NOTE : we are NOT seeking BIM-MEP
  • Experience with an Engineering Consultancy organisation
  • Knowledge of BIM Coordination with clash detection activities
  • Understanding of the implementation of LOD at each project stage. Candidates must be able to provide examples of experience in LOD stages.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Autodesk applications and practices (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Dynamo, Navisworks, InfraWorks) 

Role and Responsibilities of the BIM Modeller – Architectural/ Structural

  • Responsible for creating detailed digital models of buildings and structures using BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain BIM protocols, templates, and libraries for the organisation.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets and workflows.
  • Perform clash detection and provide solutions to resolve design conflicts.
  • Produce BIM reports to assist in decision-making processes
  • Train and support BIM team members
  • Ensure compliance with industry BIM standards and project-specific BIM execution plans
  • Assist in the development of project design concepts and presentations
  • Review and update BIM models to reflect design changes and updates
