Design Engineering Vacancies- Oman- Drainage Design Engineer

We are recruiting for a Drainage Design Engineer for a job vacancy for our client in Oman. The role requires experience of  Drainage Design for a full-time permanent position with a European Engineering Construction Consultancy in the Middle East. This role will report to the Head of the Design Team. Our client is seeking someone with at least 10 years of experience of the Design of Drainage /Hydraulic networks.

The Role of the Drainage Design Engineer- Oman

  • In this position you will be responsible for planning, designing, and maintaining effective drainage systems to manage surface water, prevent flooding, and maintain road infrastructure integrity. Design Drainage systems that move water and sewage safely and efficiently
  • Independently develop engineering designs for Drainage systems.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software and drainage design tools.
  • Coordinate with other design specializations across disciplines across all design stages (schematic, detailed), as needed. .
  • Review prepared design deliverables  and implement design revisions based on reviews and checking reports.
  • Use clash detection tools to ensure clash-free design models.
  • Oversee design value engineering activities
  • Highly Proficient with drainage design software.
  • In addition, Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, proposal evaluations, and technical reports
  • You will also manage junior engineers working in your department and coordinate production with other departments.
  • You will work alongside the Director and Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large scale drainage projects

Requirements and Qualifications – Drainage Design Engineering

This role requires experience specifically in Drainage Design

  1. A Designer -this is a job vacancy for a Designer. We are not seeking a Project or Site Manager, Design Design Design
  2. Highly skilled in Hydraulic Drainage Design
  3. Experience with an Engineering Consultancy organisation ( We are not seeking candidates from a Main Contractor background)
  4. A minimum of circa 10 years of experience of the Design of Drainage Networks
  5. Extensive experience of Drainage Design Software , Advanced Level
  6. In addition, A BSc degree in a Construction related subject relevant to the position
  7. An MSc is also highly desirable
  8. Excellent English language skills.

This is a full-time permanent position with a well-known engineering consultancy in Oman in the Middle East

  • A salary including accommodation allowance. This can be discussed on a case-by-case basis and is negotiable for the right person.
  • In addition  transport allowance is provided
  • Medical insurance cover is provided on top of the basic salary
  • Mobilisation flights and visa costs.
