Highway Design Engineer – Tanzania – International Jobs

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Highway Design Engineer Tanzania. This position is for a European Engineering Construction Consultancy for their offices in East Africa.

Our client are looking for a Degree Qualified professional with  15+ years large highways and roads project experience. Chartered Professional status is also a requirement

Candidates must have experience of at least one project in Sub Saharan Africa.

This role would suit a Senior Highways Design Engineer or Design Manager Highways with more than 15 years experience.

Role of the Highway Design Engineer Tanzania Job East Africa

  • In this role you will be engaged in the design and analysis of  Roads and Highways projects.
  • In addition, You will carry out calculations, coordinate the preparation of drawings, prepare design reports and specifications.
  • You will also carry out site visits, meet with Clients and coordinate other engineers working under you.
  • Independently develop engineering designs for Highways projects
  • In addition, Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports.
  • A strong knowledge of internationally recognised highway design standards . Strong knowledge of AutoCad and other computer based design package
  • In addition, Carry out meetings with the client, prepare minutes.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Senior Design Engineer / Design Manager

  • Highly skilled in Highways and Road Design with a minimum of 15 years years of  design experience
  • Professional Registered Engineer is essential
  • In addition, A BSc degree in Civil Engineering, or a construction design related degree qualification.
  • A Masters Degree in a relevant subject is also highly desireable
  • Excellent English language skills mandatory.
  • As well as, strong client liaison experience.

Salary & Benefits for Highway Design Professional

  • A basic salary of $6,500 -$7,500 per month. This can be discussed on a case by case basis and is negotiable for the right person.
  • In addition, Accommodation Allowance transport allowance and per diem $1500-$1700 per month
  • 30 days holiday
  • 2 Flights per annum
  • Medical and insurance provided
  • In addition all visa costs.
