Quantity Surveyor Job Dublin, Ireland

This role is open to Irish Nationals or those with a Current right to live and work in Ireland. Please note, this role is for candidates with some Quantity Surveying / Cost Management experience in Ireland.

Our clients are a Cost Consultancy / Chartered Quantity Surveying practice with offices in Dublin and across the UK. They have a number of great projects including Mixed Use, Commercial, Residential, Healthcare and Leisure.

As a result of an increased workload, our clients are seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant, based from their offices in Dublin. The Role of the Cost Consultant Ireland

  • Manage and deliver projects through the full project lifecycle from Inception /Feasibility/Business Case through to delivery and Completion.
  • You will have the ability to establish strong working relationships with your clients and key stakeholders
  • You will work with a team to support the delivery of cost management services on projects in the region, with the experience to work independently and be the key client contact on allocated projects with the help of the team.
  • Experience of report writing and analysis and cost planning for all project stages with both pre and post contract administration for NEC and FIDIC Contracts.
  • You will work alongside the Director of Cost for the region and be involved in a number of high-profile projects.
  • You will be able to work alone on smaller projects and as part of a team on more complex high-value projects.
  • You will have a solid understanding of  the preparation of BOQ utilising various methods of measurement.

Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor Jobs Dublin 

  • Our client is seeking a candidate with experience of working with a Cost Consultancy /PQS , plus a minimum of 2 years experience post degree.
  • In addition, candidates should also have a Degree Qualification a BSc in a Construction related subject: Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Project Management.
  • In addition, experience in Mixed-Use, Commercial Residential Healthcare  A mixture of experiences would be ideal. Our client is also open to candidates with other sector experience.
  • MRICS/ MSCSI Chartered status is NOT a requirement for this role. Full support to complete your APC will be provided if you would like to attain chartered status. Ideally, you will already be working towards your Chartered Status/ APC
  • A full clean driving licence is also a requirement as you will be expected to travel to client sites in the area
  • In addition, candidates should also have a Degree Qualification a BSc in a Construction related subject: Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Project Management.
  • Competent in the use of Cost Planning and Contracts administration software
  • Experience of both pre and post contract.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The Right to live and work in the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland

Salary and Benefits for the Cost Consultant Job Dublin, Ireland

This is a full-time permanent position and will suit an ambitious individual looking to develop their surveying skills with a well known consultancy.

  • The successful Cost Consultant can expect €32-35,000 basic, dependent upon experience
