We’re seeking a passionate MRICS Senior Quantity Surveyor to work alongside our clients Associate Director and Director for Cost in the South West Region. You will lead your own projects with minimal supervision while also having the opportunity to build and grow a dynamic team of Quantity Surveyors in the future.

This client is a leading award-winning Multidisciplinary consultancy with exceptional links in the Cornwall area and across the South West. They also have offices across the UK and Europe.

We are keen to hear from Senior Quantity Surveyors or Senior Cost Consultants who are located in the Truro, Cornwall area. We are also keen to hear from those who wish to relocate to Cornwall from another area in the United Kingdom. Assistance with relocation can also be provided.

This position requires experience in Buildings Projects, such as Healthcare (preferred), Education, Commercial, and / Or Residential. Our client will also consider candidates with Infrastructure and Civils experience as they also have a number of other projects in this sector.

What You’ll Do: Job Description for the MRICS Senior Quantity Surveyor

Work alongside the Associate Director and Director of Cost for the South West region.
Oversee healthcare framework projects across South West Cornwall, along with commercial, mixed-use, and high-end residential projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manage and mentor less experienced team members.
Serve as a client liaison, providing expert advice and oversight to contractors on behalf of clients.

Who You Are: Requirements for the Senior Cost Consultant

Ideally, you hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or another construction-related subject.
You have 5-8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant.
You possess strong cost planning and management capabilities and have experience with mixed-use, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
Experience with a PQS Consultancy is preferred but not essential.
You’re eager to attain Chartered MRICS status, with full training and assistance provided.
