Requirements for QS Jobs Overseas

For ALL of our job vacancies, around the world our clients usually ask us for the following

  • A Chartered Status. This is usually MRICS some clients will take MCIOB or another chartered status, but as we recruit for cost consultancies, they tend to ask for MRICS which is the gold standard.
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification ( post-degree) experience with a consultancy organisation. Because we work with consultancy organisations, our clients tend to want experience with a Consultancy organisation. So Solid experience with a Cost Consultancy / PQS, for Example, Arcadis, AECOM, Gleeds Currie & Brown or other well-known consultancy organisations.
  • A Degree qualification. The majority of our clients specify that they want a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. Some clients will accept engineering degree qualifications. The degree requirements will be listed on all our job posts.
  • Experience in both pre and post contract, again with a consultancy organisation
  • Some of our roles are only open to candidates with previous in country experience or they will ask for a local hire or a specific nationality due to quotas
  • We do have clients who will consider MRICS candidates without overseas or previous Internationals experience, but you must still meet all requirements.
