Qualification Educational Requirements – Quantity Surveyor jobs in the UK

  • Qualifications -MRICS Chartered Status or currently working towards APC. In addition a Degree BSc Qualification in Quantity Surveying or another construction-related degree qualification.
  • Sector Experience – Build – Residential, Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare or Commercial Projects would be ideal for this client. They may consider candidates with other project experience.
  • Knowledge– Pre and Post Contract at all RIBA stages and experience of JCT Contracts. Experience of NEC Contracts is also desirable.
  • Experience in the Manchester area is desirable but not essential. Our client will consider candidates who wish to relocate to Manchester from another part of the UK. Candidates must have a current right to live and work in the UK and have previous experience in the UK working on projects under the JCT form of Contract.
  • Background -Experience with a Cost Consultancy or Multidisciplinary Consultancy organisation in the UK.
  • The ability to work alone with occasional supervision and as part of a team, with the desire to assist in growing and mentoring a team, is very important to this client as they are a growing organisation.
  • Other requirements -Strong communication and client liaison experience are essential, some business development experience would also be highly desirable.

Responsibilities and Duties- Senior Cost Consultant Manchester

  • The role will be varied, you will be involved in a variety of projects in the Manchester.These projects will be a variety of Residential, Commercial, Education and Mixed-Use projects.
  • You will utilise your cost management and contract management experience on projects from inception to completion throughout all RIBA stages.
  • You will liaise closely with the client and your team and provide timely and accurate reporting.

Salary and Benefits for the Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor job in Manchester

This is a full-time permanent position based in Central Manchester.

  • Packages can be discussed on a case-by-case basis, dependent upon your Quantity Surveying experience.

The Salary banding for this vacancy provided by our client is circa £52,000 -£58,000 per annum.
