Requirements for the Cost Consultant Jobs and Careers, United Kingdom

  • MRICS – Chartered Status with the Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors is highly desirable for some of our vacancies in the UK.   • In addition, A Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is also desirable. Our clients will consider candidates with other construction-related qualifications, such as project management, surveying and estimating.
  • Experience with a Cost Consultancy / PQS, E.G. Arcadis, AECOM, and Gleeds is desirable. Some of our clients will take candidates from a Contractor or subcontractor background if you are keen to move to a consultancy.
  • Salaries for Quantity Surveyors and Cost Consultants vary across the UK county by county depending upon the location and the level of role. London or other City locations may have a weighting (better salary) due to the cost of living in those areas.
